What should I expect to take place on my first visit?
To begin our therapists conduct a thorough review of your medical history and an evaluation of your condition and general movement patterns through a Selective Functional Movement Assessment™ (SFMA). Our therapists are experts in hands on assessments; this approach allows for the therapists to feel and treat restrictions, changes and limitations in the soft tissue and joints of each individual body. Therapists will then provide various manual therapy techniques to address issues found during the evaluation and design a program to start you on the path to wellness. At the end of your first visit, you will be asked to schedule follow-up appointments based on your needs and availability. Most initial evaluations last about one hour and a half, though your session length is dependent upon the nature of your treatment.

Physical therapy has not worked for me in the past, how are you different?
We are a unique practice and take pride in everything we do. We do not deliver cookie cutter therapy nor do we have a revolving door of patients. Rather, we take our time to look at each client’s body, lifestyle, and concerns in order to develop specialized programs tailored to the individual. We continue assessing at each visit and are able to get each client to reach their goals because we listen, work hard, and see the big picture. We are a word-of-mouth practice with roughly two-thirds of our clientele referred by former patients who have been blown away by the attention and care they receive while in our hands. We strongly believe each individual deserves the “Physio Experience,” beginning with our top-notch customer service at the front desk to the skilled therapists and exercise specialists who guide you through individualized programs that bring results.
What insurance do you accept?
We accept most commercial insurance plans if you have out-of-network benefits. Before your first appointment, we thoroughly research your insurance plan and review your benefits via phone so you can arrive already informed of any costs and/or visit limitations. Please see our insurance page for further details.
What are your rates if I book an appointment without insurance?
For clients without insurance, we provide the following affordable rates. Currently, an initial evaluation for self-pay clients costs $275 while follow-up visits are $230 per visit. We also offer discounted package rates for multiple visits.
Do I need a prescription for physical therapy?
No. Our physical therapists can be the first healthcare professional you see for your injury, and will assess, diagnose, and begin your personalized treatment plan at your initial visit. Our therapists are experienced diagnosticians who can evaluate and treat with expertise, so we encourage clients to visit at the onset of an injury or issue in order to avoid multiple medical visits, which can waste valuable time that should be spent on the path to healing. Some insurance plans may require a prescription for reimbursement of services, though this is information our front desk will obtain and relay to you before you come in for your first appointment so your visit will be worry-free.
What should I bring to my first visit?
We suggest you bring comfortable workout attire, including sneakers. Shorts are recommended for knee, ankle, or foot conditions. Women should wear a sports bra for neck or shoulder conditions. We also provide t-shirts and shorts to allow exposure to area of treatment. You should also bring your insurance card and prescription from your physician if required by your insurance plan.
What time should I arrive to my first visit?
We recommended you arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to complete any additional paperwork. We will email you forms beforehand that can be submitted directly to our front desk via secure connection.
How long is each session?
At Physiofitness, our therapists are not watching the clock – they will do what needs to be done to reach your goals and needs. A typical session lasts for approximately one hour between manual therapy and exercises, though again, length is dependent upon the nature of your treatment and may take anywhere from roughly thirty to ninety minutes.
Where does treatment take place?
We provide private treatment rooms and space on our 3,000 square feet exercise floor. Our facility also has locker rooms, showers, and complimentary towels and shower products for your convenience.
Will I see the same physical therapist each visit?
Absolutely – the primary physical therapist that performs your initial evaluation will see you each time you visit, though our team takes pride in a collaborative environment. Our therapists consult on all patients to ensure everything is being done in order to optimize our clients’ time with us.
What are your office hours?
We are available Monday-Friday, 7am-8pm. Saturday appointments are also available upon request.
