Kadeem joined the Physiofitness team after graduating from Long Island University with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. His graduate work included a range of clinical rotations in orthopedics, inpatient/outpatient hospitals, sub-acute rehab, and sports medicine. Kadeem’s passion for movement, manual therapy, and sports performance is reflected in his additional certifications in the Functional Movement Screen™, Performance Enhancement Specialist (NASM), Corrective Exercise Specialist (NASM) and SMT 1 – Spinal Manipulation Therapy.
Kadeem did his undergraduate work in Biology at SUNY Albany and was a track and field long jump athlete on their NCAA Division I team. Having competed at a high level, he is no stranger to the physical demands of daily training. He has personally experienced the setbacks and limitations that strains, sprains, and surgery bring, and is uniquely positioned to share his insights. He applies his understanding of the patience and discipline required to get you “back out there” whether it is regaining movement for daily activity, returning to serious competition or just getting you back to a weekly exercise routine.
Kadeem also had the opportunity to work with the Buffalo Bills Medical Staff during the 2016 preseason/training camp where he treated alongside the team’s medical staff for the daily management of the entire team. He has also had the opportunity to learn from world renown Physical Therapist Mike Reinold, Kevin Wilk, and Brian Mulligan.
In his spare time, Kadeem maintains an active lifestyle by running, participating in recreational team sports and is routinely at the gym. He is also active in NYC community events as a member of NYPTA Minority Affairs Committee as well as on the Board of Directors for the nonprofit organization Stand Tall: Physical Therapy for the Homeless.
