Before joining Physiofitness, Jon was a Tier 3 personal trainer at Equinox where he worked with a wide variety of clients with different types of goals and varying levels of age and fitness. During his time at Equinox and has participated in several in house education courses. Jon is a certified as a personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. He also holds certifications with USAW as a Sports Performance Coach in the sport of Olympic weightlifting and Crossfit as a level 1 coach. Working along side, Head Strength and Conditioning coach Yuki Miyazawa, he was able to complete an internship at St Francis College in Brooklyn. He was able to work with athletes in Division 1 Athletic program.
Jon decided to pursue a career in physical therapy after going through an ACL tear/surgery/rehab process himself, a sports injury he sustained while playing in an adult softball league, and chose Physio as his new home. He was immediately drawn to their philosophy of treating the individual as a whole and not just the injury. Jon hopes to take his career to new heights and learn from this educationally rich and diverse environment.
