James is a recent graduate from St. Francis College. Prior to joining Physiofitness, James gained extensive experience from training and supervising elite-level collegiate athletes at the Division I level (North East Conference). He was the captain of the Men’s Tennis team for 3 years and worked under head Strength Coach, Yuki Miyazawa, as both a student aide and an Interim Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. Coupled with his athletic background, James is also a 5th degree black belt in Taekwon-Do as well as an International Instructor under the All International Taekwon-Do Federation (A.I.T.F.) Under the guidance of his father and A.I.T.F president, Kwang Duk Chung, he has assisted in seminar demonstration and instruction throughout various cities in Argentina, Uruguay, Portugal and Italy.
As a means of continuing his athletic endeavors post-graduation, James has taken up the sport of Olympic Weightlifting. He has since competed in the 2015 Larry Mintz Memorial Meet, the 2015/2016 Brooklyn Barbell Open, and made his national debut at the 2016 USAW University/ Under 25 National Championships in New Orleans. He is currently studying to be a NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and looks to apply to DPT school in the near future.
